A Southern California man was arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of a 12-year-old girl.

The suspect was identified as Anthony Eduardo Lozano, 21, according to the Riverside Police Department.

In April 2024, the young victim contacted Los Angeles police alleging she had been sexually abused by the suspect.

Detectives investigated the case and learned that Lozano had communicated with the girl on social media. He arranged a car ride through a rideshare app that transported her from Los Angeles to the Riverside area.

The girl was dropped off at Rutland Park where Lozano allegedly met her and sexually abused her, authorities said.

On Aug. 30, Lozano was located and arrested on numerous charges of sex abuse against a minor including aggravated sexual assault of a child and possession of obscene matter. He is currently being held without bail.
