Marywood players get honors
Marywood University had two players ranked nationally in women’s volleyball
statistics for the week of Oct. 7.
Abington Heights High School graduate Erin Otto was second in digs per
game, with a 6.95 average. Teammate Emmy Lou Steinfelt was listed 12th in the
same category, with a 5.28 mark.
Scranton, Drew to face off
For the second consecutive year, the University of Scranton will play host
to Drew University for the Freedom Conference women’s soccer championship.
The game is set for 1 p.m. tomorrow at Fitzpatrick Field. The winner
receives an automatic bid to the NCAA Division III championships, whose

Chuck Karcutski shot a hole in one Tuesday on the 95-yard No. 6 hole at
Four Seasons Golf Club in Exeter. Witnesses were Len Motzki and Harry Robbins.
