ST. JOHN, Mo. – Overnight storms brought chaos to St. John, waking up business owners along St. Charles Rock Road with unexpected Ring camera notifications early Tuesday morning.

Although most businesses were spared, one building took a heavy hit.

Around 4 a.m., a KMI Construction Industries-owned storage facility partially collapsed due to heavy rain. The facility later gave way as the rain continued throughout the day. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

The building, which housed tools and materials for the company, suffered the collapse amid a power outage that knocked out its security cameras, leaving the incident undocumented. The building's owner expressed gratitude for the city's quick response.

FOX 2 reached out to the St. John police, fire, and public works departments for further information about the collapse but had not received updates as of Tuesday night.
