St. Joseph License Office to close Friday and Monday
Nov. 7—The St. Joseph License Office will be closed for two days as part of a statewide upgrade to a new ID and driver's license system.
A local representative confirmed the St. Joseph office will be closed on Friday, Nov. 8, and Monday, Nov. 11, to implement a modernized driver's license system.
The office will re-open on Tuesday, Nov. 12, with all services available as normal.
The upgrade is designed to improve the stability of the system, create more online options and boost customer convenience and resources.
System changes also will affect the Personal Property Department of the Buchanan County Assessor's Office by limiting some normal day-to-day operations.
From Nov. 6 to Nov. 11, the Personal Property Department of the Buchanan County Assessor's Office will not be able to issue tax waivers and will not be able to make changes to the 2024 Assessment lists.
For those looking to pay their 2024 taxes, the Collector's Office will not be affected by the temporary closure of the license offices.
