PEKIN, Ill. (WMBD) — State Sen. Neil Anderson and state Rep. Travis Weaver will hold a Town Hall meeting in Pekin on Sept. 26 at the Coffee Connection.

The event, which will last from 6 to 7 p.m., will provide residents with a sense of what is going on in Springfield and how it affects them. Refreshments will be served, the two said.

Weaver, a Pekin Republican, said "connecting with the communities we represent and being accessible to our constituents is the foundation of our jobs as elected representatives."

Anderson, a Moline Republican, said the town hall is a "great way for voices to be heard prior to the start of the Veto session in November.

Staff from both legislators will also be on hand in case if a resident has a question or an issue with a state agency.
