BURLINGTON, Vt. (WCAX) - State officials are welcoming public input on quality control plans for an eastern Vermont waterway.

The Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation is looking for your two cents on tactical basin plans for three watersheds along the Connecticut River.

Those watersheds include the White, Deerfield, and Passumpsic rivers.

The plans seek to improve water quality, restore aquatic habitats, improve flood resiliency, and prevent future pollution.

A meeting inviting public comment will be held on Thursday night for the White River watershed at 6 p.m.

See here for information on how to join in on the meetings.

Thursday is also the last meeting to talk about plans for a watershed in western Vermont.

There will be a meeting at 6 p.m. at the Agency of National Resources Fish and Wildlife in Essex Junction to discuss plans for the Otter Creek watershed and the northern Lake Champlain direct drainages.
