Stepping 4ward 2gether brought a day full of baby back ribs and community outreach

PEORIA ( 25News Now ) -Stepping 4ward 2gether is a community outreach group that aims to assist those in need while mentoring young men toward a positive future. The 'King of the Grill,' event was held Saturday morning at the St. Luke's Missionary Baptist Church at 410 S. Olive Street in Peoria. This networking and social event included food, music, resource vendors, and a contest crowning the best griller. The President of the organization, Dwayne Williams, said this event is set up to bring the community together. "We are community-driven. We are here to help other organizations as well," he said. "If other organizations have any projects coming up or need people to support them, feel free to reach out to us." Some candidates running for office including Robert Boucher for state's attorney and John Kelly for mayor were there.
