Streeter, ND, man dies in hay-bale accident

Nov. 9—STREETER, N.D. — A Streeter man died after a hay bale fell on top of him on Thursday, Nov. 7, according to Stutsman County Sheriff Chad Kaiser.
Kaiser said the first responders responded to the hay-bale accident about 3 or 4 miles northwest of Streeter at about 4:30 Thursday.
Larry Berg, age unknown, was helping loading hay bales, Kaiser said. Kaiser said two hay bales were removed from a stack with a tractor and might have jostled two other ones. He said two 1,200-pound hay bales fell and one landed on top of Berg.
Kaiser said the hay bale was lifted off of Berg and CPR was immediately performed.
Kaiser said Berg was dead when first responders arrived on scene.
