LAS VEGAS, Nevada — A restaurant owned by actor Mark Wahlberg caught fire Wednesday, one day before a ribbon-cutting ceremony. People reports the fire started in a fire pit at Flecha Cantina, a Mexican restaurant that has been open since mid-September. However, Wahlberg was set to attend an official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday. A spokesperson for the restaurant tells People there was no damage to the interior of the building and there were no injuries. TMZ reports a video posted on X shows the fire in progress on a patio in front of the restaurant. By the time firefighters arrived, the sprinkler system had been activated and people inside the restaurant had been evacuated, reports say. The restaurant was able to reopen for business about an hour later, reports say. Wahlberg has a business presence in Northeast Ohio with an Airstream dealership in Lorain and a Chevrolet dealership in Avon. He also has an interest along with his brothers, Donnie and Paul, in Wahlburgers, a burger restaurant which has a location in downtown Cleveland. There also are Wahlburgers locations in Youngstown, Columbus and Dayton.
