Support local artists at the 5th Annual Broome Art Trail

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. (WIVT/WBGH) – Local artists will be represented across Greater Binghamton this weekend as the Broome County Arts Council hosts an annual event.

The 5th Annual Broome Art Trail will be held on September 21 and September 22. The art-filled weekend will celebrate the talented creatives across our area as it spans six municipalities in Broome County including Binghamton, Johnson City, Vestal, Endicott, Town of Maine, and Whitney Point.

The art tail will showcase the work of 75 artists across a wide range of mediums such as stained glass, mixed media, drawing, mosaics, pottery, photography, poetry, writing, prints, and a variety of painting techniques. Other mediums include wood, digital drawing, fiber, metal, charcoal, sculpture, patchwork, and more.

Those in attendance can explore various businesses, art studios, and venues while engaging with the artists. Over the weekend, there will be 21 events including eight musical performances and 13 live demonstrations.

Printed maps are available at Broome Art Trail venues as well as online at broomearts.org .

Limited edition posters will be available at the BCAC Artisan Gallery. Visitors are also invited to participate in a social media challenge. Details will be announced on BCAC's Instagram and Facebook pages. Additionally, those who complete BCAC's patron survey will be entered into a drawing to win a BCAC prize package valued at $35.

All exhibitions are free and open to the public.
