A suspect in the shooting death of a man in Arlington was arrested in Louisiana on Thursday, Nov. 7, police said.

Robert Kelly, 31, faces a murder charge. He is accused of killing 38-year-old Marquis Holliman after an altercation near Holliman's apartment on June 6, officials said in a news release.

On the night of the homicide, Holliman approached a neighboring apartment in the 2100 block of Cypress Club Drive and began yelling at people gathered there, police said.

Witnesses told police that Holliman started arguing with a woman at the apartment and then pushed her, according to the statement.

A man, later identified via CrimeStoppers as Kelly, confronted Holliman, and shots were fired a short time later, police said.
