A Schuylkill County man will spend up to 15 years in prison for exposing himself to a girl earlier this year in Lehigh County.

On Thursday, Blaine Alan Arner, 63, was sentenced to 71⁄2 to 15 years in prison for exposing himself to a girl in March in Lynn Township. Arner, of Tamaqua, pleaded guilty during the summer to charges of luring a child, which is a felony, as well as misdemeanor offenses of indecent exposure.

The Lehigh County District Attorney's Office said Arner must also register as a sexually violent predator for the rest of his life. Additionally, he was sentenced to 15 years of probation.

Arner exposed himself to a girl the afternoon of March 11 in the 7300 block of Lincoln Court. He exposed himself while she was walking her dogs with three other children.

Arner stopped on the street and asked to see her dog, according to a DA's office news release. When she went to the truck, he opened the driver's side front door and exposed himself, authorities said. She then ran away.

Police spent multiple days trying to find Arner after the incident.

He has been in county jail on $200,000 bail since his arrest.
