Paso Robles wine-tasting room owner arrested for assault charges

– A Paso Robles wine-tasting room owner was arrested Sunday on suspicion of breaking into his ex-girlfriend's home and assaulting her and her current boyfriend.

According to San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office Public Information Officer Tony Cipolla, deputies responded to a call of battery at approximately 9 a.m. on Sept. 15. When deputies arrived at the residence, the female victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, identified as 36-year-old Thomas Robert Booth of San Luis Obispo, entered her home without permission and physically assaulted her and her current boyfriend.

Booth fled the scene before deputies arrived. At approximately 3 p.m., deputies located and detained him outside a restaurant in San Luis Obispo. He was arrested for first-degree burglary, battery causing serious bodily injury, and domestic battery. Booth was taken to San Luis Obispo County Jail and booked on those charges, according to Cipolla.

Booth is the owner of the Wine Boss tasting room in downtown Paso Robles.
