Joe Gibbs Racing announced Wednesday it has signed Taylor Gray to drive full-time in the Xfinity Series in 2025.

Gray, the 19-year-old prospect, will pilot the No. 54 Toyota. Tyler Allen will serve as Gray's crew chief.

Gray currently competes full-time in the Craftsman Truck Series for Tricon Garage, wheeling the No. 17 Toyota. He has compiled seven top 5s this season. Gray remains in the hunt for the Truck Series championship with three races remaining.

Gray has also driven part-time for JGR in the Xfinity Series this season. In 12 starts inside the No. 19 car, Gray has three top 10s. That includes a P3 finish in his debut at Richmond back in March. Gray has been successful in the ARCA Menards Series with nine total victories across the National, East and West Series.

Taylor Gray getting first full-time Xfinity Series opportunity in 2025

"I am very thankful for this opportunity," Gray said in a statement. "I feel like I have learned a lot in the races I have ran this year and we can build on that next season. Being able to work with Tyler [Allen] and these guys for a few races has been a great head start on next season and getting that chemistry going, so I'm really excited about what we can do running together fulltime."

With Gray signed, JGR's four-car Xfinity Series lineup is beginning to take shape for next season. Brandon Jones is returning to JGR after a two-year stint with JR Motorsports. Jones drove for JGR from 2018-22. Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports said Wednesday that William Sawalich is a possibility to race full-time for JGR in 2025, with the fourth car likely being a rotating cast of drivers.

"We're looking forward to adding Taylor to our lineup fulltime next year," said Steve de Souza, executive vice president of Xfinity Series and development for JGR. "Taylor's strong season in the Truck Series, along with his performance with us on the Xfinity side have been impressive. With Taylor in the Xfinity car every week in 2025, we expect that trend to continue. And we look forward to him competing for wins and the championship."
