TCEQ recommends lifting boil notice for north Laredo, City response pending

LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Texas Senator, Judith Zaffirini, posted on her social media page that the boil water notice was released for a plant in North Laredo. The announcement was posted on Friday, October 18, at around 4:40 p.m. The City of Laredo will remain under a boil water notice, despite Zaffirini stating a partial lift was recommended. According to Zaffirini, TCEQ is recommending a lift for a majority of North Laredo. According to her social media post, homes that get their water from the El Pico water plant should not be under the notice. However, only the city has the authority to lift the notice.
