There was a telling sign that Dave Grohl 's troubled 21-year marriage to second wife Jordyn Blum Grohl was still in major turmoil as he stopped by a gas station in Los Angeles on Thursday amid his secret love child scandal.

The philandering 55-year-old was still not wearing his wedding ring while purchasing what appeared to be four packs of cigarettes.

'He's gone from being rock god to scumbag overnight, it's changed the dynamic and he hates it,' a source told In Touch last Friday.

'But he's got to go along if he wants to save his marriage. Jordyn and the kids are his life.'

The insider added: 'He admits he was wrong, but he's under total scrutiny, he has no freedom. He's offering up phone text messages and constantly apologizing and going to therapy.

'He's trying to be a good dad but at the same time it's frustrating and he doesn't understand that these things can take months, even years to fix.'

Dave - who was joined in the car by one of his three daughters - was dressed down in a black T-shirt, matching cargo shorts, and white Nike sneakers for his errand.

It was unclear whether it was Grohl's 18-year-old Violet Maye Grohl or his 15-year-old Harper Willow Grohl in the black truck with him.

The Foo Fighters frontman and the 48-year-old Hollis|Jordyn interior designer - whose first date was at the Sunset Marquis Whiskey Bar in 2001 - also are also parents of 10-year-old daughter Ophelia Saint Grohl.

Jordyn has been in a 'state of confusion' as she 'ditches her wedding ring and vows divorce' one moment to 'wearing the ring at home and sobbing because she doesn't want the marriage to end.'

'Her besties have begged her to move forward with the split. Not to go back with him at any cost,' a source told DailyMail.com on Thursday.

'One of her friends, who's been a close confidante for many years, even told Jordyn she'll lose total respect for her if she takes Dave back and she'll walk away from their decades long friendship.'

Dave - who's reportedly retained a divorce lawyer to protect his $260M fortune - allegedly canoodled with God's Girls founder Annaliese Neilsen circa 2016-2019 before getting a different woman pregnant.

'I've recently become the father of a new baby daughter, born outside of my marriage,' Grohl confessed to his 1.4M Instagram followers on September 10.

'I plan to be a loving and supportive parent to her. I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness. We're grateful for your consideration toward all the children involved, as we move forward together.'

Aside from gushing about his three daughters and late mother Virginia, didn't write about many women in his 2021 memoir The Storyteller - not Blum, his first wife Jennifer Leigh Youngblood, nor any girlfriend.

However, Dave did pen his Foo Fighters songs Statues and Burn Away about the former MTV producer, who directed his music video for Walking a Line in 2002.

On Tuesday, Anthem Awards revealed that the Foo Fighters were finalists for a social impact trophy for their March 5th performance at the Power to the Patients charity concert, and the winner will be announced on November 19.

The 15-time Grammy winners - which suffered the loss of drummer Taylor Hawkins in 2022 - previously canceled their September 29th headlining performance at the Soundside Music Festival in Connecticut due to Grohl's scandal.

The Ohio-born, Virginia-raised rocker - a self-taught musician who cannot read music - first found fame as the drummer of the hit grunge trio Nirvana until frontman Kurt Cobain's 1994 death by suicide.
