Tennessee Basketball's home games against Kentucky and Alabama are sold out

Tennessee Basketball's home game against Kentucky on January 28 and Alabama on March 1 at Food City Center are officially sold out, the Vols announced on Thursday .

The 12th-ranked Vols (1-0) opened the season with an 80-64 win over Gardner-Webb at home on Monday. They go to Louisville (1-0) on Saturday (Noon Eastern Time, ACC Network) for the first road game of the season.

Tennessee announced in August that all 14,500 season tickets had been sold for a second straight season. It's the sixth straight full-capacity season that the Vols have sold 13,000 or more season tickets.

Vols set program record with eight home sellouts last season

The Vols announced season tickets were sold out last year on November 1. They went on to set a single-season program record with eight home sellouts, including the final four games at Food City Center. There were five sellouts during the 2022-23 season, tying the previous program record.

Tennessee last season played in front of capacity crowds of 21,678 against Illinois, Alabama, LSU and Vanderbilt. Four games were above capacity: Auburn (22,547), Texas A&M (22,322), Kentucky (22,206) and Ole Miss (21,932).

Entering last season, the Vols had finished in the top five in national attendance in the previous four non-COVID-impacted seasons. They've been top 20 in attendance for 19 straight years.

Tennessee men's and women's basketball also had the highest combined attendance of any basketball programs during the 2022-23 season, totaling 451,142 fans.

The Vols have played 36 home games in front of crowds of 20,000 or more during the Rick Barnes era.

Tennessee athletics in 2022-23 was the only program to rank in the top 10 in average home attendance for football, men's basketball and women's basketball.

Tennessee Basketball's 2024-25 schedule

The most notable non-conference games on schedule are against Louisville (Saturday), Virginia (November 21), Syracuse (December 3), Miami (December 10) and Illinois (December 14). The Vols will also either play Baylor or St. John's on November 22 in the second game of the Baha Mar Championship in the Bahamas.

Other Tennessee home games in November include Montana next Wednesday, Austin Peay on November 17 and UT Martin on November 27. In December the Vols host Western Kentucky (December 17), Middle Tennessee State (December 23) and Norfolk State (December 31).

SEC schedule starts with Arkansas on January 4. The Vols go to Florida on January 7 and will play at Texas on January 11. They host Georgia on either January 15, go to Vanderbilt on January 18 and host Mississippi State on January 21. Tennessee goes to Auburn on January 25 and hosts Kentucky on January 28 to end the month.

February starts with a home dates against Florida on February 1 and Missouri on February 5. The Vols go to Oklahoma on February 8 and Kentucky on either February 11. Tennessee hosts Vanderbilt on February 15 and are then off until playing at Texas A&M on February 22. The month ends at LSU on February 25.

In March Tennessee hosts Alabama (March 1), goes to Ole Miss (March 5) and closes the regular-season schedule at home against South Carolina (March 8).
