The Block stars confirm bombshell rumours that 'something happened' between two contestants that led to strain on one couple's marriage

The Block's Charlotte and Maddy appear to have confirmed gossip that 'something happened' between two of the show's contestants during filming .

The Blockheads made the bombshell revelation during an appearance on HIT WA's Allan & Carly Show on Wednesday.

Host Carly Portch asked the pair about online rumours concerning Mimi, who is competing on the show alongside her husband Kristian, and fellow contestant Brad who is married to Kylie.

'Look, I think all will get revealed in the next couple of weeks,' Charlotte, 22, responded, adding: 'I think stay tuned for that.'

Maddy, 24, added: 'Look, we don't want to speak on it specifically because it's people's real lives at stake and we weren't obviously there, so we don't know full details.

'But I think, yeah, look... something happened. But we're probably not the right people to speak on it.'

Fans will be eager to see how the drama plays out after The Block newlyweds Kristian, 31, and Mimi, 28, recently confessed that appearing on the Channel Nine renovation show put a serious strain on their marriage.

Daily Mail Australia has reached out to Nine for comment.

It comes after Daily Mail Australia revealed in September that Kylie, 37, and Brad, 32, are set to abruptly exit Nine's ratings juggernaut in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, Kylie is said to be extremely upset over her 'villain edit' on the latest series of the Channel Nine renovation show.

The hairdresser has reportedly 'completely spiralled' after seeing her controversial TV edit, a close friend of hers tells Yahoo Lifestyle .

'We can see Kylie is being silly and a little overdramatic but somehow it comes off to the viewer like she's bullying people and being ungrateful,' they began.

'She is a very giving person and I think she was reading into who she thought the producers wanted her to be. That can be quite dangerous when you then trust someone else to tell your story.'

Kylie and her partner Brad have been dubbed this year's 'villains' due to some negative comments they made regarding their building projects, as well as some difficulty getting along with their co-stars.

The insider added that Kylie was struggling with how she was portrayed, as she signed up thinking that she would be seen in a positive manner.

'She thinks she's a monster. It's like the producers took her sense of humour and twisted it into something really nasty.

'I think Kylie would like viewers to know you are only seeing a version of her personality.'

'Kylie had an absolute meltdown at the end of week 12 and stormed off the set,' spilled an insider from the production team.

'She flat-out refused to continue filming, and the pair didn't even show up to finish their communal space in week 13.

'I've got no clue how the producers are going to handle this on screen or how they'll edit around it,' they continued.
