The Glensheen Mansion's candlelight holiday tours return this month
Duluth's historic Glensheen Mansion has shared details on its annual holiday tours, which will start on Nov. 22.
The mansion and estate, named one of the Best Holiday Historic Home Tours in the country by USA Today, will be decked out for the holidays to offer daily self-guided tours of the estate.
This year's theme, Classic Christmas Tales, will have its 12 rooms decorated in the spirit of familiar Christmas stories.
The preserved home on the shore of Lake Superior will also bring back its Christmas Candlelight Tours on Friday and Saturday nights from 5–8 p.m. starting Nov. 29. The evening tours will run through Dec. 28 with an additional opening on Dec. 26.
This year's tours will include 25 trees, Congdon family ornaments, historic photos, and a festive ambiance throughout.
Glensheen encourages guests to buy tickets in advance as space is limited and all tickets are timed-entry, making the Candlelight Tours an event that can fill up quickly, particularly as the holidays get closer.
