CHICOPEE, Mass. (WWLP) – With warming temperatures this weekend, it will be nice to get outside to enjoy the fall foliage here in western Massachusetts.

Elevated fire danger due to breezy, dry conditions

All of western Massachusetts will see plenty of sun with high temperatures getting into the 70s which is 10-15 degrees above average. When it comes to the fall foliage, there is lots of great color beginning to pop.

Northern Berkshire County and Franklin County are at "peak" while Hampshire and Hampden counties are at "great" color per The Foliage Report .

As you head north, Vermont and New Hampshire are at peak color with the higher elevations of the Green Mountains in Vermont and the White Mountains in New Hampshire being past peak.

There was even some snow in the mountains of northern New England just a few days ago. Winter is right around the corner so enjoy the warm sunny days while we have them.
