BALTIMORE, MD—Police in Baltimore County are reminding motorists that Thursday, October 17 is National Do Not Disturb While Driving Day.

NDDC's goal is to encourage individuals to turn on their phone's DNDWD feature and to encourage employers to implement policies that will ensure their employees are distraction-free while driving on business.

"You have a choice! Show you care about the lives of your friends, family members and even strangers," reads the NDDC's DNDWD website . "Choose to stay safe by turning on your phone's Do Not Disturb function and tell others to do the same. Join our movement and spread the word: enabling a simple setting on your phone could save your life."
