Time spent as polling site observer was positive. Skeptics ought to sign up. | Letters

On Election Day, I volunteered for the first time as a polling site observer. I felt privileged to watch poll workers who, from 6 a.m. until nearly 10 p.m., checked in voters, answered myriad questions and solved problems with knowledge, kindness, respect and professionalism.

My takeaways: The two-hour observer training I got from the nonpartisan Wisconsin League of Women Voters was comprehensive and well-presented; I learned so much about how elections are run in our communities and, importantly, the rules, checks and balances that make them safe, secure and transparent.

To anyone who's wondered about the allegations of election fraud over the past four years (remarkably absent now), you owe it to yourself, and our country, to sign up for an eye-opening League training session. It will be time well spent.

Letters: Republicans can't have it both ways on election fairness. Please remember this.

Opinion: I was gutted when Trump won in 2016. This time I'm less distraught. Here's why.
