ASHLEY: St. Leo’s/Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St., is planning a turkey bingo at noon on Nov. 18. Admission is $2 and regular games begin at 2 p.m.
A bake sale will be hosted by the St. Anne’s Guild. Refreshments will be served and 24 turkeys will be given away.
FORTY FORT: Candy’s Place is holding a Holiday Fair from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at 190 Welles St., Forty Fort.
Featured items will be handmade crafts, jewelry, original photographs and greeting cards, affirmation T-shirts, homemade baked goods and much more.
LEHMAN TWP.: Penn State Wilkes-Barre is offering a free, one hour Nanotechnology seminar at noon on Tuesday in the Technology Center, room T-101.
Nanotechnology refers to the projected ability to construct items from the bottom up, using techniques and tools being developed today to make complete, highly advanced products.
High school students and graduates who attend this session will receive information on educational opportunities and university degree options, and will be registered to win one of three 4GB Apple iPod Nanos.

PLYMOUTH: Plymouth Alive is sponsoring “Christmas on Main Street,” where businesses, civic groups, community organizations, veterans’ groups, churches, families and individuals can purchase a tree for $25. Trees can be placed in memory of or in honor of someone. The fee does not include the stand, personalized name plate, lights and decorations.
The trees will be displayed along Main Street from Thanksgiving evening until after New Year’s Day.
There is a limit of two trees per pole and extension cords are not allowed on the sidewalk. Electricity will be provided.
Orders must be placed by Nov. 10 and delivery will be at 9 a.m. on Nov. 19. No orders will be taken after this date.
WARRIOR RUN: The Warrior Run Volunteer Fire Company is holding a Longaberger Basket Bingo at 2 p.m. today to benefit the Hanover Area Boys’ Basketball Booster Club. Doors will open at 1 p.m.
The cost is $20 for 20 games. There will also be specialty games, door prizes, food, goodies and refreshments. For tickets call 825-3205.
WHITE HAVEN: White Haven United Methodist Church, Buffalo Street, off state Route 437, will host its annual Election Day roast beef dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday. Takeouts will be ready from 3:30 to 5 p.m.
Tickets can be purchased from church members or at the door.
The menu consists of roast beef, cole slaw, mashed potatoes, vegetables, rolls and homemade pies and cakes.
Other baked goods will also be available for purchase.
The church is handicapped accessible.

WILKES-BARRE: The Rotary Club of Wilkes-Barre will hold its annual spaghetti dinner from 1 to 11 p.m. on Nov. 11 at Genetti’s Hotel and Convention Center.
The money raised will support the Osterhout Library and Wyoming Valley Children’s Association.
The cost is $6 for adults and children under 12 are $3. Tickets are available at the Osterhout Library, Wyoming Valley Children’s Association, from Rotary members or at the door.
WILKES-BARRE: St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St., will celebrate its annual days of Eucharistic Devotion (Forty Hours Devotion), today, Monday and Tuesday.
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament will begin immediately after the 11 a.m. Liturgy.
The church will be open after the 8 a.m. Mass on Monday and Tuesday for prayer and adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
Services will be held each evening at 7 p.m. The Eucharistic liturgies at St. Nicholas Church will be celebrated at 7:30, 9 and 11:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday and at 6:30 and 8 a.m. on Monday and Tuesday. The Rev. Paul McDonnell, O.S.J., will be the guest homilist.
The services will conclude with a procession of the Blessed Sacrament at Tuesday’s celebration.
Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers, school students and visiting priests of the Diocese of Scranton will participate.
WILKES-BARRE: Pennsylvanians For Human Life, Wyoming Valley Chapter, will host its 24th annual Respect Life Banquet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday at Genetti’s Hotel and Convention Center, East Market Street.
This year’s featured speaker will be Judie Brown, president of American Life League of Stafford, Va. She has received many awards for her efforts.
