LEROY (PETE) WEST, 72, of Mountain Top, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at
home.
Born March 25, 1932, in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Leroy and
Catherine (McLaughlin) West. He was educated in Wilkes-Barre schools and was a
graduate of Meyers High School, class of 1950. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he
retired from the U.S. Post Office, Wilkes-Barre. He was a member of St. Jude’s
Roman Catholic Church, Mountain Top. He was a resident of Mountain Top for the
past 30 years. He is preceded in death by sons, Scott and Eric.
Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Lois; son, Todd, Kingston; daughter,
Lisa, at home; brother, Eugene, New Jersey; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
