arah Lucille Burns, of Scranton, died Tuesday at Mountain Rest Nursing
Home, Scranton.



Born in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Walter George and Sarah
(Maxfield) Burns. She attended Scranton public schools. She was a member of
Bethel AME Church, Scranton.

She was preceded in death by her son, Willoby.

Surviving are her daughters, LeeAnn McCloe, Wilkes-Barre; Lorretha,
Virginia Beach, Va.; Kristy and Lashanda, both of Scranton; 12 grandchildren;
brothers, George, Scranton; and William, Arizona; and nieces and nephews.



The funeral will be at noon Friday from the Bethel AME Church, 716 N.
Washington St., Scranton, with services by the Rev. Alphonse Allen, pastor.
Interment will be private at the family’s convenience. Friends may call from 7
to 9 p.m. today at the Ziman Funeral Home, 612 Gibson St., Scranton, and 10
a.m.-noon Friday at the church.
