HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - While it is quite chilly this morning, today will turn out to be a pretty nice afternoon. Light winds to start will only increase a little bit as the become southerly. They’ll be up around 10 mph this afternoon. Temperatures will rise into the mid to upper 60s and low to mid 70s. Overnight, we’ll see a slight increase in clouds, but more notable is that winds will pick up a bit. This is going to keep temperatures a bit milder overnight. Lows tonight will remain in the 40s with some 30s in the west. We’ll continue to see increasing clouds on Thursday as temperatures rise into the 60s. Winds will be blustery out of the southwest. They’ll be around 10 to 20 mph with gusts to around 30 mph. Those wind will help temperatures boost up into the 60s. A cold front will push southeast through the area. Once the front moves through, winds will shift out of the northwest. Temperatures may even drop a bit for those that see the front that pass through. Skies will become mostly cloudy and there could even be some sprinkles or very light rain. Some of this may stick around into the evening, but later in the night, skies will clear up and winds will die down as high pressure settles in from the northwest. This will bring some chilly temperatures to the area Friday morning with lows in the 20s and lower 30s. While Friday will be a cooler day, it won’t be terrible for mid-November. There will be plenty of sunshine and winds shouldn’t be too strong. Highs will range from the lower 50s east to the lower 60s west. It’ll be another chilly night with clear skies Friday night. Lows will be back down in 20s and lower 30s. Saturday will turn out to be a pretty decent day. With lots of sunshine, temperatures will rise to the low to mid 60s. Rain chances will return to the area late Saturday night through Monday night. We’ll also see chillier temperatures move in Sunday and Monday. It’ll still remain chilly on Tuesday, but dry weather should be back. We may actually get a brief warm-up on Wednesday. The weather also looks fairly quiet for travel. Temperatures will start to come down with some much colder air Thanksgiving and especially in the days after.
