    The Great Forest Park Balloon Glow and Race

  • One of the region's best-loved traditions, now in its 52nd year, features dozens of hot air balloons first lighting up with an impressive nighttime glow and then, the next day, chasing a "hare" balloon in a race. But it's a St. Louis festival, so that means there will also be no end of other events, with food, drink, music (from DJs), activities and performances by Purina's remarkably talented canine Pro Plan Performance Team.

    Neo soul singer Marsha Ambrosius headlines the stage at Frizz Fest in Tower Grove Park on Sept. 21.

  • Comedian Jeff Arcuri is headed to a sold-out Factory for the first stop on his mostly sold out "The Full Bean Fall Tour." Arcuri is known for his quick-witted crowdwork, and has appeared on "The Late Show" with Stephen Colbert, Laughs on Fox and Comedy Central's "Roast Battle, Laughs!" He also recently announced his engagement to "The Bachelor" Season 25 contestant Katie Thurston after proposing in Hawaii.

  • Slightly Askew Theatre Ensemble had to delay opening night for this mash-up of Shakespeare's "The Tempest" and Lewis Carroll's "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland" by a week. The play is about Alice Liddell, the real life inspiration for Carroll's book. She she goes back to Wonderland to perform Shakespeare's "The Tempest" with help from the Mad Hatter, Cheshire Cat and more.

  • Following the release of the film "Unsung Hero," about their family and life, Joel and Luke Smallbone, the Christian pop duo that makes up For King + Country is touring, performing songs from the soundtrack. The two relocated to the U.S. from Australia as children. They grew up to become Christian music superstars with four Grammy Awards. Expect to also hear fan favorites like "For God Is With Us" and "The Proof of Your Love."

  • Walk through the Skinker-DeBaliviere neighborhood and enjoy live music right on someone's front porch. This community concert walk includes over 35 porch concerts with a mainstage act in the evening at Greg Freeman Park on Kingsbury Avenue. Some of the acts performing include the Saint Boogie Brass Band, Elysian, Fruit Jam and School of Rock Kirkwood.

  • International pop artist Pitbull is bringing his "Party After Dark Tour" to St. Louis, and he's bringing rapper T-Pain with him. Pitbull has been busy lately making moves outside of music. The artist purchased the naming rights to Florida International's football stadium in August, renaming it the Pitbull Stadium. The Miami native has been nicknamed "Mr. 305" (one of Miami's area codes) for his dedication to uplifting his hometown. Expect to hear songs like "I Know You Want Me" and "Give Me Everything."

    'Back to the Future'

  • Canadian rock band Barenaked Ladies has done a lot since debuting in 1991. The group has sold over 15 million records, won two Grammy Awards and multiple Juno Awards, and has consistently held on to its fans for three decades. The group's latest album "In Flight" (2023) is a burst of joy and appreciation, a testament to the band's love for life. Expect to hear new songs as well as classic Barenaked Ladies records like "One Week," "If I Had $1,000,000" and "Pinch Me."
