Tornado traveled more than 30 miles across Treasure Coast during outbreak, National Weather Service says The National Weather Service in Melbourne confirmed that a tornado traveled in Martin County and ended in St. Lucie County covered 31.6 miles on Oct. 9.The tornado was rated as an EF-2 with estimated peak winds of 125 mph.
