Tractor-trailer carrying flood debris overturns on I-26 entrance ramp in Erwin

ERWIN, Tenn. (WJHL) — A tractor-trailer carrying flood debris overturned on an Interstate 26 entrance ramp, closing it down to traffic for hours Sunday morning, Unicoi County Emergency Management Agency's (EMA) Director Jimmy Erwin said.

Erwin said in a post that the crash took place on the I-26 westbound entrance ramp at Exit 43 . While no injuries were reported, Erwin said that entrance ramp would be closed for more than an hour while the crash was cleared.

The post said the truck was hauling flood debris when it crashed. The Southside Volunteer Fire Department, Unicoi County EMS and EMA, Unicoi County Sheriff's Office and the Tennessee Highway Patrol all responded to the scene.
