Trash collectors attacked on Broadway in downtown Nashville
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Two men were arrested over the weekend after reportedly attempting to assault garbage collectors in Nashville.
Aaron Daza, 23, and Angel Lebron, 19, were arrested and charged after the incident on Sunday.
Around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, officers received a report of a fight in an alley near 4th Avenue and Broadway where garbage collectors were working. Two suspects had reportedly approached the trash truck and climbed onto the back.

According to court documents, the workers asked the men to get off the truck, and a verbal altercation was sparked by one of the suspects.
The suspects reportedly pulled items from their waistbands and approached the victims, officials said. It was unclear if the items were weapons, but the victims believed them to be knives or crowbars.
One of the workers then pulled out a gun and the suspects fled the scene.

Daza and Lebron were arrested by officers in the area who saw them running from the alley. A witness informed the officers that they had seen the suspects disposing of knives nearby.
Daza is charged with aggravated assault, evading arrest and vandalism. He is being held in Metro jail on a $22,000 bond. Lebron was also charged with aggravated assault and evading arrest. He is being held in Metro jail on a $20,000 bond.
