Trespassing Man Caught With Loaded Rifle In NYC Subway Tunnel Abraham Sosa, 20, snuck past a "No trespass" sign and began walking into a subway tunnel.NEW YORK CITY — A 20-year-old man was caught with a loaded rifle inside a New York City subway station, police said.
Abraham Sosa, 20, snuck past a "No trespass" sign and began walking into a subway tunnel at the Kingsbridge train station in the Bronx on Tuesday around 4:30 p.m., police said Thursday.
Two officers at the station noticed Sosa and attempted to apprehended him.
Sosa resisted and fought with the officers — during the struggle, a TA-15 rifle fell out of Sosa's backpack. Ammunition was found in the backpack as well.
The two officers suffered minor injuries, police said.
A 21-year-old man — identified as Christopher Mayren — was also arrested at the scene after he tried to intervene.
Sosa has been charged with a slew of criminal possession of weapons charges for the rifle and ammunition, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration, trespassing and assault on a police officer.
Mayren was charged with obstructing governmental administration, criminal possession of stolen property, petit larceny and aggravated harassment.
