Montgomery pleaded not guilty in Clark County District Court on Aug. 27, court records show. Montgomery posted $15,000 through a bond company, according to court records. Las Vegas Metro police said she was released from jail on June 1.

Las Vegas Justice Court Judge Harmony Letizia previously set Montgomery's bail at $15,000 with high-level electronic monitoring and ordered Montgomery to have no contact with minors, no internet access, and no contact with animals. Police said they found approximately 153 bestiality videos that appeared to be between Montgomery and her dog, according to an arrest report. Five of the videos showed Montgomery's face or her partial face, some videos showed Montgomery using peanut butter, and some videos were duplicates, police noted. Montgomery admitted during her interview with a detective that she did engage in sexual activities, but she claimed she did not lock or force the dog to do such activity, according to an arrest report. During a search warrant at a home in August 2022, police said they found the dog. Montgomery claimed that she came across child pornography in a group on Telegram, an encrypted chat application, however, denied saving or downloading any child pornography, police said. "Brennah stated she accessed Telegram with her iPhone 12, and when she first started to use Telegram and WhatsApp, the programs automatically downloaded the media she viewed on the apps and saved to her phone," the arrest report stated. Montgomery admitted to then transmitting three videos of child sexual abuse material on Snapchat during a roleplay conversation. Police said the investigation began after they received a "CyberTip Report" from the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children regarding a Snapchat user who was transmitting three files of child sexual abuse material in 2021. On a Facebook page under the name "Brennah Montgomery," several photos of a dog were posted on Feb. 24 with the caption, "Although it saddens me, I realize now is the best chance for both of us; new beginnings will bring immense joy & success – especially for dearest Piper! I am no longer able to provide her with the care and attention she deserves. Home is where the heart is. Let's help Piper find her sanctuary!
