Former President Donald Trump will join Gov. Brian Kemp in Evans, Georgia Friday to discuss damage from Hurricane Helene.

The two will deliver remarks to the press at the Columbia Performing Arts Center about the devastation - their first joint appearance since 2020.

Across the Southeast, the death toll has topped 200 and at least 33 people have died in Georgia since Helene tore a path of destruction through the state.

It will mark Trump's second trip to Georgia after on Monday.

During his trip, Trump called out Biden and Harris claiming they were doing nothing to help the community.

They're having a very hard time getting the, getting the President on the phone he won't get on. The vice president, she's out someplace campaigning, looking for money. So they got to be, they have to be focused over here. It's too big," Trump told reporters.

But Kemp told reporters earlier in the day he had spoken with the president the day before and said that Biden told him to call him directly if he needed anything.

In August, Trump called Kemp a "bad guy" and an "average governor" whileblaming him for his loss to Democratic President Joe Biden. He also criticized Kemp's wife, Marty, for saying she would write in her husband's name for president in November instead of voting for the Republican nominee.

On X, Gov. Kemp told Trump to and urged him to stop "engaging in petty personal insults, attacking fellow Republicans, or dwelling on the past."

President Joe Biden on Thursday after making trips to North Carolina, South Carolina and Florida to see aerial views of the damage. Vice President Kamala Harris visited Augusta on Wednesday.
