Oct. 17—A Greensboro woman and a Sanford woman face felony charges in two separate incidents.

Jennifer Contreras Jimenez, 49, of Greensboro was charged with felony larceny after she allegedly stole a 6-foot by 12-foot trailer with a gate from Lowe's Home Improvement at 3015 S. Horner Blvd. in Sanford on April 11, 2023. The trailer was valued at $2,948.

Jimenez was arrested April 23, 2023 and posted a $5,000 bond that day, but failed to appear in court on Sept. 13, 2023, and was re-arrested on Oct. 5, 2023, and posted a $10,000 bond that day.

She has an administrative hearing set for Oct. 21 and a jury trial scheduled for Nov. 4.

Sanford resident Kadriah Annette Richmond, 30, was charged Oct. 12, 2021, for obtaining property by false pretense on March 18, 2021.

Richmond was arrested July 12, 2023, and released on a $2,500 unsecured bond because she had no prior criminal record, according to a court document.

According to the arrest warrant, Richmond allegedly cashed a $1,400 check at Piggly Wiggly and then took the original check and deposited it at another financial institution.

Richmond has an arraignment set for Oct. 21.

In a civil case filed in Cumberland Superior Court, a default judgment was issued against Richmond on July 29 for $36,423 plus $250 in court costs following a trial by judge.

In that case, Stephanie Alexis Mittleider filed a complaint against Richmond for motor vehicle negligence. Mittleider was represented by two attorneys, according to eCourts, while Richmond represented herself.

Richmond had two Sanford addresses in the two court cases, one in the 100 block of South Steele Street and one in the 900 block of Clark Circle.
