NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) announced that the agency will accept applications for the 2024-2025 late-season, youth and military waterfowl hunt quota.

The application period opens Wednesday and will remain open through Tuesday, Dec. 3. The youth hunt is open for applicants between six and 15, while applicants for the late season wildlife management area (WMA) hunts must be at least 16. Only veterans and active-duty military members can participate in the TWRA's military hunt.

While vendor fees vary, there is a $12 application fee — unless you have a valid annual, lifetime or senior sportsman license. However, there is no application fee for the youth or military waterfowl quota hunt. Youth and military waterfowl hunt applicants have two hunt choices.

All applicants will have until Monday, Dec. 16 to claim awarded permits. The TWRA added that a drawing for any leftover permits would be held on Dec. 30.
