Tyler Hubbard to kick off Traverse City’s Cherry Festival with country hits

TRAVERSE CITY, MI – The 99th National Cherry Festival will kick off with country music hits next summer when a multi-platinum artist takes the stage.

Country music sensation Tyler Hubbard as the headliner for opening day, June 28, in Traverse City.

"We couldn't be more excited to have Tyler Hubbard launch our opening day festivities," said Kat Paye, National Cherry Festival executive director." His music speaks to so many, and it's the perfect way to kick off our 99th year."

Hubbard, known first as one half of award-winning duo Florida Georgia Line, has two solo albums that boast three No. 1 singles. He's currently headlining his STRONG World Tour, promoting his album of the same name.

Hubbard's self-titled debut solo album his hit debut solo single "5 Foot 9," and "Dancin' in the Country," which both hit No. 1 on country radio and went double platinum. "Back Then Right Now," the first single from STRONG, also reached No. 1 on country radio and is also certified gold.

Presale tickets will be available on Thursday with general sales beginning at 10 a.m. Friday. The all-inclusive (including fees) ticket price is $68 for general admission, $93 for reserved seats and $193 for the Turtle Creek Casino Deck, which is a VIP experience with food and drinks.

The National Cherry Festival, held in downtown Traverse City, is a celebration of Northern Michigan's cherry industry. Along with a series of musical performances, the festival will feature a week of family friendly activities, fireworks shows, vendors, airshows, and the Cherry Royale Parade.
