Unsettled weather to bring several rounds of rain and storms
A nice fall day ahead with highs in the mid to upper 60s and mostly sunny skies.
We'll see clouds increasing this evening and overnight as an unsettled pattern begins across our area Sunday bringing multiple rounds of rain and storms Sunday through Tuesday. Rain chances look best west and northwest of St. Louis for Sunday but the metro can expect an increase in thunderstorm activity starting on Sunday night. Monday and Tuesday are also looking active.
This pattern looks to bring widespread beneficial rain totals with the highest amounts expected across central and northeast Missouri where 4+ inches will be possible. Amounts gradually taper off to the east where totals closer to 1inch in southern Illinois are forecast.
Temperatures Sunday through Tuesday will stay mild in the 70s but cooler air returns midweek behind the cold front where highs will be in the 60s Wednesday through Friday.
