FENTON, Mich. (WNEM) - Adopt a Pet of Fenton has released heartbreaking photos of some of the dogs rescued from the abuse case out of Burton.

Adopt a Pet of Fenton has taken in several of the 44 surviving dogs.

They said many are skin and bones with urine and fecal burns covering their body, nails so long they are growing into their paw pads and hair so matted that some are suffering from sores or cuts and will need to be completely shaved. On top of their obvious neglect, many also need medical treatment.

Adopt a Pet of Fenton is asking for donations to help care for them. According to its Facebook post , you can Venmo call the center at 810-629-0723 to donate with a credit card, go to Adopt a Pet of Fenton's website and click "donate" or mail a check to 13575 N Fenton Rd, Fenton, MI 48430 and add to your memo "for hoarding dogs' care."
