US Marshals capture Austin murder suspect sought in July 2021 stabbing

The U.S. Marshals-led Lone Star Fugitive Task Force arrested a man accused of in southeast Austin in July 2021.

The Austin Police Department saidMithovar Christopher Antoine Jr., 22, of Temple, was a suspect wanted for stabbing on July 23, 2021, in the 2000 block of South Interstate 35. The victim drove himself to a Conoco gas station to find help after being stabbed.

EMS attempted lifesaving measures but the victim was later pronounced dead on scene.

APD's Homicide Unit continued their investigation and obtained an arrest warrant on Wednesday, Sept. 11, and requested US Marshals' help to find and arrest Antoine, who was in Temple at the time.

Antoine was transported and booked into the Bell County Jail where he will await extradition to Austin. His bond was set to $150,000.
