USWNT has acquired one of the modern-day greats, Emma Hayes as their coach. The Englishwoman, despite her heroics in her previous spell, faces an immediate challenge as she prepares for the Paris Olympics later this month. However, a part of her heart is still with her previous club, Chelsea. It has only been a month since she left London, but the manager took some time off to support the newly appointed coach, Sonia Bompastor.

The club has recently expressed its excitement to start another exciting spell under former Olympique Lyon manager. Chelsea FC took to their official Instagram and posted a photo of the manager with a caption that read, "The Sonia Bompastor era officially starts today. " Hayes in return replied, "Good luck Sonia we are all rooting for you ," revealing her support for her successor who she has known for more than a decade.

Chelsea is also expected to move to another legendary era with the arrival of its new coach. Hayes feels confident in the person she's chosen to take over the team. Having watched the 44-year-old play for Washington Freedom in the 2009-10 season when USA's manager was part of its coaching staff, Hayes holds Bompastor in high regard. The 44-year-old has begun her coaching career with a great success taking Lyon to three consecutive league titles.

But more impressively, she has a Champions League title under her belt, both as a player and as a coach, which could be crucial to Chelsea's European ambitions. Nevertheless, her new chapter in London is in a bit unfamiliar territory. Only two of her former Lyon colleagues, assistants Camille Abily and Thoe Rivrin, will be part of her coaching staff as she heads the four-year spell. Meanwhile, Hayes will hope to have a similar stint in the USA.

What does Emma Hayes bring to the USWNT? Emma Hayes had a magical magnet that attracted trophies nonchalantly, which is also a feature of the USWNT. Not only did she lead her team to an undisputed reign for five seasons in the league, but Chelsea also won five FA Cups, amassing an incredible 16 trophies in just 12 years under her. Her next task is to ace the 2024 Paris Games, and Hayes did not hesitate to make some bold decisions

Owing to her success at Chelsea because of the bond she created between the players, Hayes is expected to keep the principle intact with the USWNT. Under her leadership, the club won multiple accolades apart from developing a great ecosystem off the pitch. From finishing at #6 and #7 in the Women's Super League table in her first two years, she took the Blues to 7 league titles. However, the manager counts on building relationships that can prove to be a vital force.
