Utah Attorney General-elect Derek Brown announces transition team
SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — After being projected to win the race for Utah Attorney General, Derek Brown announced his transition team as he prepares to take office.
According to the press release from AG-elect Brown, his team is comprised of over 40 attorneys, experts, and advocates and is chaired by the outgoing state auditor John Dougall, former solicitor general Tyler Green, and Utah attorney Greg Skordas, who ran for AG in 2020.

"I want to thank John, Tyler, Greg, and the rest of our team for their willingness to lend their deep knowledge of state government, law enforcement, and constitutional law during this transition period," Brown said.
He also stated that each person was chosen because of their expertise and commitment to the state of Utah. According to the release, the team is expected to conduct a thorough review of the Attorney General's Office budget, policies, management, and operations.

"AG-elect Brown plans to hold town hall meetings across the state for Utahns interested in the future of the Office of Attorney General to share their recommendations. This open dialogue will be instrumental in shaping the office's future. Dates and locations will be forthcoming," the press release said.
Brown is projected to have won the Utah Attorney General's race as he leads by approximately 305,000 votes. Brown will be the first new attorney general in Utah in over a decade.
Results will not be official until canvassing is completed on Nov. 25.
