eronica Walko, 97, formerly of Swoyersville, died Monday at the Hampton
House, Hanover Township.



Born Oct. 23, 1904 in Wyoming, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and
Catherine Prywara. She attended Wyoming Area schools. She was a member of St.
Francis Church, Nanticoke.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; son, Joseph; and
daughter, Bernadette.

Surviving are her daughters, Vernie Sadowski, Pringle; Dolores Ambrose,
Center Moreland; and Terry Oplinger, Nanticoke; son, James, Nanticoke; nine
grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren.



A private funeral will be held at the convenience of the family with a Mass
of Christian Burial at St. Francis Church. Interment will be in Holy Trinity
Cemetery, Swoyersville. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by
the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth.
