Victim in deadly assault and robbery identified as Colorado Springs police ask for help finding suspects

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (KKTV) - A 60-year-old man has been identified as the victim in a vicious assault over the summer.

The suspects involved in the deadly attack still remain on the run months later.

On the evening of July 31, police say Dwayne Easterling was badly beaten and robbed in the area of East Fountain Boulevard and Murray Boulevard. He was left gravely injured and rushed to the hospital by officers who responded to the scene. He died two weeks later from his injuries.

The Colorado Springs Police Department announced Easterling's identity Wednesday and continue to call on the public for help finding the assailants.
