Victoria and David Beckham proved they still had lots in common after 25-years of marriage as they read books by the same author amid their sun-soaked Miami getaway on Friday. The former Spice Girl, 50, and ex footballer, 49, topped up their tans onboard the family's £16M superyacht while leafing through chilling thrillers by American writer Freida McFadden. Victoria put on a very leggy display in a pair of tiny cut off denim shorts which she wore with black T-shirt and baseball cap as she read Never Lie. Meanwhile David showcased his toned and tattooed physique and went shirtless while appearing engrossed in his paperback copy of The Housemaid's Secret, the second in a series. Unable to put their books down the couple later took them ashore as they were helped off the vessel by a member of the crew. Freida McFadden is the pen name of the thriller author who is also a practicing doctor who specialises in brain injury. She has published a whopping 25 novels and has won a string of awards with 2022's The Housemaid lined up for a big screen's adaption. The synopsis of Victoria's novel Never Lie reads: 'Newlyweds Tricia and Ethan are searching for the house of their dreams. But when they visit the remote manor that once belonged to Dr. Adrienne Hale, a renowned psychiatrist who vanished without a trace four years earlier, a violent winter storm traps them at the estate... with no chance of escape until the blizzard comes to an end'. In search of a book to keep her entertained until the snow abates, Tricia happens upon a secret room. One that contains audio transcripts from every single patient Dr. Hale has ever interviewed. As Tricia listens to the cassette tapes, she learns about the terrifying chain of events leading up to Dr. Hale's mysterious disappearance. Tricia plays the tapes one by one, late into the night. With each one, another shocking piece of the puzzle falls into place, and Dr. Adrienne Hale's web of lies slowly unravels. And then Tricia reaches the final cassette. The one that reveals the entire horrifying truth'. While David's The Housemaid's Secret reads: 'It's hard to find an employer who doesn't ask too many questions about my past. So I thank my lucky stars that the Garricks miraculously give me a job, cleaning their stunning penthouse with views across the city and preparing fancy meals in their shiny kitchen. I can work here for a while, stay quiet until I get what I want'. It's almost perfect. But I still haven't met Mrs Garrick, or seen inside the guest bedroom. I'm sure I hear her crying. I notice spots of blood around the neck of her white nightgowns when I'm doing laundry. And one day I can't help but knock on the door. When it gently swings open, what I see inside changes 'That's when I make a promise. After all, I've done this before. I can protect Mrs Garrick while keeping my own secrets locked up safe. Douglas Garrick has done wrong. He is going to pay. It's simply a question of how far I'm willing to go...' It comes after David zipped around on his motorbike before whipping up a Christmas dinner in a clip shared to Instagram. The ex England ace, who is fronting a new advert for Ninja's kitchen appliances, wasted no time in getting into the holiday cheer as soon as November began. Arriving on a bike with a tree in the passenger seat, David frantically decorated his house as he got ready for the celebrations. He then started the dinner, using an array of Ninja products of course, before setting the table and changing into a fun jumper. Posting the advert to his Instagram, he captioned: 'Festive fun with This week, Brooklyn Beckham has revealed the all important marital advice that his father David gave him after his lavish $3.5 million wedding to Nicola Peltz in April 2022. During an appearance on Today with Hoda & Jenna on Monday morning, Brooklyn, 25, was promoting his new hot sauce, Cloud23 , when he opened up about married life and admitted it's 'continued to be the honeymoon stage' for him and Nicola, 29. 'Oh my God, it's been the best,' he said of being a husband, before revealing that his famous father had always advised him to find someone special since he was a young. 'My dad's always - when I was growing up - was like, "find that person because that's one of the most important things that someone can do in their life is find that person that you'll spend the rest of your life with.'" When asked if his parents David and Victoria, 50, had given him any advice, Brooklyn told Hoda Kotb and her guest cohost Laura Jarrett: 'My mom and dad love [Nicola] and they get along, which I am so happy about. 'And my dad was like, "take care of her and work hard and just always do romantic things,"' he added, before revealing why he decided to take Nicola's family name. 'I kind of wanted to honor both names and when I decided... when we both decided that this was what we wanted to do, I was like, "it would be so cute to have little Peltz Beckhams running around at some point,"' referring to having children one day. And when Hoda, 60, asked Brooklyn how he knows that Nicola is his person, he replied: 'I feel like I've known her for six years and we were friends before and I feel like when you know, you just know, do you known what I mean?'. According to reports, Brooklyn and Nicola's lavish wedding cost $3.5 million and saw the couple say 'I do' in Palm Beach, Florida. The bride's parents Nelson and Claudia footed the cost, with the $494 million fortune of Brooklyn's parents David and Victoria being dwarfed by the estimated $1.6 billion wealth of Nicola's. The couple exchanged vows at her billionaire father Nelson's $103 million compound in Palm Beach in front of a star-studded crowd that included Eva Longoria and Serena Williams.
