Vikings/Bengals Week 15 game to kick off Saturday tripleheader
D.Adams3 months ago
Much like they did last year, the National Football League will be playing a tripleheader on Saturday of Week 15. And, much like last year, the Minnesota Vikings will be starting the festivities. The league has just announced the Week 15 schedule, and the Vikings were chosen to be the first game of the Saturday tripleheader, with their game against the Cincinnati Bengals on the road slated to kick off at noon Central time on Saturday, 16 December. Last season, the Vikings kicked off the Saturday slate in Week 15 when they hosted the Indianapolis Colts . That game saw the Vikings go into the locker room down 33-0 to Indianapolis before putting it together in the second half and emerging with a 39-36 victory. This game won’t be the Kirk Cousins vs. Joe Burrow matchup at quarterback that many had anticipated, with both of those players done for the season due to injuries. Instead, we’ll be getting former Vikings practice squad member Jake Browning leading the Bengals and. . .well, somebody will play quarterback for the Vikings because the league mandates that sort of thing. The other two games of the tripleheader on that Saturday will feature the Pittsburgh Steelers traveling to Indianapolis to take on the Colts in the middle game, and the nightcap will be the Denver Broncos heading to the Motor City to face the Detroit Lions . All three of those games will be broadcast on the NFL Network as well as local affiliates in the cities that those six teams call home. So, if you have plans for Saturday the 16th, you might need to do something to delay what you’ve got going that day for a few hours so you can watch the Vikings (hopefully) inch closer to the postseason.
