Vineland storm damage could be indicator for its famous neighbor

AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Trees on houses, power lines down, debris everywhere – this is Vineland.

"We did have a shed back here that's what we use a storage completely destroyed trees everywhere," said Rob Steel.

The storm roaring through the neighborhood caused unprecedented damage.

"This makes the ice storm look normal. This is like nothing I've ever seen,' said Jim Graves.

"It looks like from what I can see something came through here and just tore everything up. There's trees down everywhere you look," said William Harrison.

You can see the damage in Vineland, but it's harder to see it at its world-famous neighbor, as Vineland butts right up again the Augusta National Golf Club.

"It's literally right there, so I mean I can't imagine it being any better," said Steel.

"I'm sure it has a lot of damage just as well. As it was going on, we could hear trees in the neighborhood and behind us falling constantly for probably an hour to two hours," said Joshua Kucela.

Augusta National released a statement saying it's assessing the effects of the storm at the Golf Club.

A storm that seriously effected its neighbors in Vineland.
