Viper in the Sky comes down for reconditioning

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT) – A Henderson landmark has returned to the ground after spending over 15 years in the sky.

Audubon Chrysler's Viper in the Sky was lowered down from its platform over the Henderson strip on Wednesday. The 1996 Dodge Viper has been in the air since 1996, only coming down once since then for reconditioning. Now, the dealership says it is time to give the sports car a tune-up.

Company officials say the car is a symbol for the business and has to be kept up from the wear and tear of mother nature.

The viper will return to its perch in the sky over the Henderson strip in about a month or so according to Travis Little of Audubon Chrysler.
