New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade
Show your New Rochelle Pride at the New Rochelle Thanksgiving Parade! Volunteers are needed to help carry display banners and everyone's favorite parade balloons, including fan favorites like Mighty Mouse. Perfect for families, groups, and volunteers 14+. Holiday Decorating
Volunteers are needed to help Wartburg Adult Care Community transform into a festive holiday wonderland to bring joy to its senior residents. Volunteers will decorate the Wartburg campus using holiday lights, ornaments, wreaths, trees, inflatables, and more. Donations of decorations are welcome, and volunteers are encouraged to wear their favorite holiday sweaters or festive attire. Thanksgiving Package Delivery a nd Friendly Visit
DOROT Westchester's annual Thanksgiving Meal Delivery brings hundreds of older adults and volunteers together to share warmth and companionship. On November 24, volunteers will pick up a Thanksgiving meal, deliver the meal to their assigned older adult, and then stay for a social visit. All new package delivery volunteers will be required to attend a Zoom orientation on Tuesday, November 19 at 5:30 p.m. A valid U.S. government-issued photo ID is required to participate in this project. Annual Mailing
Each year, the STEM Alliance mails letters to its supporters to help raise funds for its STEM education programs for students K-12, digital education programs for adults in need of computers and training, and its Co-Op Summer Enrichment program in the Mamaroneck School District. Of course, preparing all these letters requires some help! Volunteers are needed to stuff, seal, and stamp envelopes as part of this end-of-year mailing event. Volunteers will receive tasty snacks and refreshments as a thank-you for their service. Date: 11/24 from 12-2:30 p.m. and 2:30-5 p.m. Organization: The STEM Alliance Location: Mamaroneck
