Vote for Nashville area boys athlete of week for Week 6 of 2024 TSSAA football season

There were some great performances during Week 5 of the 2024 TSSAA football season and beyond.

Now, you get your chance to vote on the Nashville area's best.

Cast your choice in the poll below for who you think should be the Nashville area boys athlete of the week for the week of Sept. 16-21. Voting will close Thursday at noon.

Canon Kinder, Brentwood: Kinder was a perfect 13-of-13 passing for 97 yards and a touchdown, also adding a touchdown on the ground as Brentwood defeated Summit, 31-0.

Jack Gordon, Columbia Academy: Gordon had two sacks and nine total tackles, five of which were for a loss in a 24-7 win over DCA.

Owen Cabell, CPA: Cabell caught nine passes for 216 yards and three touchdowns to lead CPA past BGA, 49-16.

Caden Stroud, Davidson Academy: Stroud ran for 133 yards and three TDs on just 15 carries in a 42-0 win over St. George's. He also had two catches for 66 yards.

Kason Young, East Robertson: Young was 6-of-12 passing for 88 yards with a TD and an interception in a 43-27 win over Jo Byrns. Young also had 179 rushing yards and two rushing TDs.

Justin Hopkins, Ensworth: Hopkins returned a kickoff 90 yards for a touchdown and had an interception in Ensworth's 17-3 win over Lipscomb Academy.

Joseph Derrick, Father Ryan: Derrick was 24-of-35 passing for 351 yards and two touchdowns as Father Ryan defeated MBA, 17-14. It was Father Ryan's first win over MBA in last 28 games between the two schools.

Jaden Hoskins, Gallatin: Hoskins had 13 carries for 109 yards and two touchdowns in a 65-0 win over Warren County.

Riley Jordan, Hendersonville: Jordan had four catches for 107 yards and a touchdown.

Brycen McDonald, Lewis County: McDonald was 24-of-38 passing for 271 yards and two touchdowns, while rushing for 56 yards and two touchdowns.

Tyler Thompson, Marshall County: Thompson was 11-of-15 passing for 187 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-7 win over White House.

LJ Funk, Pearl-Cohn: Funk was 7-for-9 for 214 yards and three touchdowns in a 61-0 win over Montgomery Central.

Hudson Curlee, Pope John Paul II: Curlee caught six passes for 139 yards and three touchdowns, including a pass for the go-ahead score in JPII's 27-26 win over Goodpasture.

Jaylen Pollard, Ravenwood: Pollard had a 53-yard interception return for a touchdown, blocked a punt and recovered an additional blocked punt in the Raptors' 48-0 win over Overton.

Caleb Floyd, Stewarts Creek: Floyd had 16 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown, while adding two catches for 56 yards and a touchdown as Stewarts Creek defeated Cane Ridge, 35-12.
