Fan voting will decide the Hollis Wright Birmingham high school football Player of the Week from the top area performances.

Readers can vote until 5 p.m. on Wednesday with results posted on Thursday so make your selection below.

Players are selected from nominations by coaches or from AL.com game reports.

AJ Allen, Hoover: Ran 13 times for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 62-yard scoring run, in the victory over Fairhope.

Kaleb Carson, Homewood: Rushed 18 times for 102 yards and 3 touchdowns and completed 10-of-17 passes for 174 yards and a TD in the win over Athens.

Grayson Gulde, Vincent: Had 15 tackles with 2 TFL and 2 sacks in shutout win over Sand Rock.

Cayden Hofbauer, Mountain Brook: Completed 11-of-16 passes for 219 yards and 6 touchdowns in the win over Southside-Gadsden.

Jayden Martin, Ramsay: Had 11 carries for 126 yards and 3 touchdowns in the win against Ardmore.

Conner Nelson, Leeds: Was 7-of-8 passing for 153 yards and a 68-yard game-winning TD pass, adding 27 rushes for 176 yards and 4 TDs, a catch for 9 yards, kickoff return for 20 yards (421 all-purpose yards and 5 TDs) and a tackle for-loss on defense.

Gerrell Perry, Banks Academy: Was 16-of-18 passing for 345 yards and 4-touchdowns, adding 5-rushes for 65 yards against Monroe Academy.

Dakarai Shanks, Spain Park: Ran 25 times for 186 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win over McGill-Toolen.

Charlie Taaffe, Vestavia Hills: Completed 22-fo-28 passes for 244 yards and a touchdown in the win over Mary Montgomery.

Spencer Unruh, Corner: Had 34 carries for 322 yards and 4 touchdowns and a catch for 10 yards in the win over Lawrence County.
